One builder. Every trade. Twelve years of fixing what others got wrong.

Seth Harris founded Harris Home Improvement in 2018 after six years working alongside his father, who then retired. For the next decade he did nearly all the work himself: kitchens, bathrooms, decks, structural repairs, whole-house remodels, and additions. He learned each trade by doing it, and he learned what good looks like in each one by repairing what other contractors had left behind.

Two things changed the direction of the company. By 2020, the physical imbalance of trade work had given Seth scoliosis, and it took years of chiropractic care and physical therapy to straighten his spine and rebuild the muscles around it. Then in 2024 he developed an autoimmune condition that made him severely sensitive to grains, starches, and the toxins common on job sites and inside new houses.

Those years taught him two things that now define the company. The first is that health, in the trades and in a house, is not optional. The second is that his place was no longer on the tools but in managing the whole build, so that every trade met the standard he had spent a decade learning by hand.

Along the way a prospective client with severe sensitivities introduced him to Building Biology, the international standard for healthy construction. A friend who had introduced him to Transcendental Meditation introduced him to Maharishi Vastu architecture. Seth, a long-time student of sacred geometry and natural law, has studied both ever since. He is not certified in either, and partners with consultants when a client wants those standards.

The company became Harris Home Builders in 2024. It takes on a small number of custom homes, additions, and whole-home remodels each year. Not every client wants a Vastu or healthy home. Every client gets the same thing: a house built to stand the test of time, by a builder who knows what that takes.
